Vocational
Vocational Services provided through CCI Industries offer job and life skills development, job-site training and paid employment to individuals age 18 and older diagnosed with mental illness; intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities; and brain injury.
Where is the program offered?
Organizational Employment Services and Community Employment Services are available at DeWitt, New Hampton, and Knoxville, Iowa. Day Habilitation is offered exclusively at the DeWitt, Iowa facility.
What services are provided?
- Organizational Employment Services provide job-site supervision, training and paid work to individuals at CCI Industries owned locations. CCI Industries contracts with area businesses and employs individuals to complete the work required.
Program services support the following outcomes
(July 1, 2011-September 30, 2011):
OUTCOME #1
Objective A: CCI will support participants in realizing their identified employment goals as identified in their annual plan. Result: 30 participants time studies completed, 60% showed progress.
Objective B: CCI will provide real paid work opportunities for CCI Industries participants.
Result: 100% of all work opportunities at CCI Industries are paid.
OUTCOME #2
Objective A: CCI Industries will actively seek and respond to the feedback and directions of participants and or stakeholders.
Result: 25% of all participants and stakeholders were sent a survey this quarter. CCI Industries also continues to meet quarterly with CCI Advisory Committee, which met on September 30, 2011.
OUTCOME #3
Objective A: CCI Industries will provide individualized services that are cost effective.
Result: All measurement resulted in an efficiency factor of greater than 1.0. - Community Employment Services help individuals locate community employment opportunities that may include job placement, contracted temporary services, and off-site enclaves.
Program services support the following outcomes:
OUTCOME #1
Objective A: CCI will assist in written assessments with every participant in the program.
Result: 6 files sampled, 100% written evaluations completed.
Objective B: CCI will actively work with participants in preparing and assisting them in securing competitive employment by writing a service plan.
Result: 6 of files sampled, 100% of files contained written plans.
Objective C: CCI will provide employment development skills training to assist participants in securing community employment.
Result: 13 out of 13 participants have secured community employment.
OUTCOME #2
Objective A: CCI will review operations semi-annually and assess financial efficiency.
Result: 1 full-time employee to 13 participants served. - Day Habilitation assists and supports individuals in developing or maintaining life skills and encourages community integration that helps the individuals live successfully in the community. Individuals who qualify for the Intellectual Disability (ID) Waiver Services may apply to the program offered from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. weekdays. Due to the demand for services, individuals will be considered for admission as openings become available.
Program services support the following objective:
CCI staff will assist and support participants in developing or maintaining life skills and encouraging community integration that helps individuals live successfully in the community.

Thank you to Alliant Energy Foundation for awarding $1,650 in grant funds towards the purchase of outdoor recyclable bins for CCI Industries’ Vocational Services center in DeWitt.

Thank you to the Community Foundation of the Great River Bend for awarding $2,500 in grant funds towards the purchase of a pre-owned truck used by CCI Industries to transport recyclable materials from over 100 schools, churches, libraries and businesses in three Iowa counties.
