Community Care Inc.

Established in 1997 as a fundraising entity for Community Care, Inc., the David Hartmann Foundation was named in honor and memory of Mr. Hartmann, a founding member of the CCI Board of Directors. Mr. Hartmann’s many years of dedicated service and advocacy for individuals with disabilities continues through the David Hartmann Foundation.

The mission of the David Hartmann Foundation is to increase awareness of Community Care, Inc. and to garner funding for capital projects that will enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

The purpose of the David Hartmann Foundation is to support the efforts of Community Care, Inc. in providing programs and services to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, chronic mental illness and brain injury, helping these individuals achieve independence.   CCI offers individuals a wide spectrum of service choice with the goal of assisting each person in developing and following a personalized plan to realize optimum freedom of independence and quality of life.  

David Hartmann Foundation board members are elected to serve 3 year terms.  The President and CEO of Community Care, Inc. serves as Board President.  Board meetings are held quarterly at CCI administrative offices in DeWitt, Iowa.
